She can appear dead to the untrained eye as all her vitals slow down. The book is about a woman named Carol who has a disease that puts her in a coma-like state. I picked up Unbury Carol back in the day because I enjoyed reading Bird Box and Carol is a western horror which is right up my alley. If you recognize the name, it’s probably because he is the author of Bird Box which recently was made into a film by Netflix and has gained a lot of attention.
